There are many different types of cancer that affect men. As varied as the diagnoses are, some cancers do have common "red flag" symptoms that men should not ignore. Update your knowledge of these symptoms so that you can provide the best information to your make patients and their families. 

Learning Goals/Purpose: The purpose of this presentation is to provide healthcare providers the information about signs of cancer men should be aware of.

Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to:
1. State the three most common cancers that affect men.
2. Identify at least two risk factors for each of the most common cancers that affect men.
3. Describe various ways healthcare providers can help men become more aware and reduce their risk of cancer.

This is a Gannett Education CE event. Participants who attend the webinar and complete the post-test and evaluation survey will earn:

Evelyn Robles-Rodriguez, RN, MSN, APN, C, AOCN is an Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse at Cooper University Hospital in the Division of Hematology and Oncology. She received her undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and returned there years later to obtain her masters in Oncology as an Advanced Practice Nurse trained as a Nurse Practitioner. Currently at Cooper Cancer Institute, Ms. Rodriguez serves as the Director for Oncology Outreach Programs. She manages the planning and development of the Camden County Cancer Screening Project, the Cancer Education and Early Detection program for Camden County, New Jersey. This program provides outreach, education and screening to uninsured individuals who reside in Camden County for breast, cervical, prostate and colorectal cancer. As well, she is involved in the management of other cancer community outreach and education efforts, including programs for genetics and national prevention trials. She is directly involved in the grant writing for many government and foundation grants and serves as principal investigator for many of these funded research and community programs. Ms. Rodriguez is bilingual (English/Spanish) and committed to the cancer education of the lay and professional community. She regularly lectures to nursing and other professionals, cancer support groups, schools, and the lay community.

Course Completion Requirements and Awarding Certificate

After listening to the webinar presentation, complete the course test online. With a score of 75% or better and completing the evaluation, you may immediately print your CE certificate of completion or save a pdf of it for your records. You may also request a copy to be sent to you by mail. If your score is less than the passing score of 75%, you may retake the test. In the event of loss, there is no charge for a replacement copy of a CE certificate.
